Anthem, the new game from BioWare and EA, focuses very much on the multiplayer. The game can not be played without an internet connection.
The game received alot of attention during the EA Play livestream. More gameplay of the game was shown and we were told something more about the content.

Anthem will focus primarily on co-op gameplay. Here you enter the world together and you will carry out missions. Its setup is very reminiscent of the popular Destiny.

Always online for Anthem

Because of this approach, it is also not possible to play the game without an internet connection. You will always have to have a connection with the servers. Even if you only go out in the game, you still have to be connected to the internet. This was announced by executive producer Mark Darrah via Twitter.

It was also known that Anthem does not know PvP mode at launch. So you will always play with friends against the computer and not against each other. It is possible that this mode will be added later, but that is not yet certain.

Launch in 2019

Anthem will launch on 22 February 2019 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can pre-order the game now. If you want to play the game on the PC, you can also purchase an Origin Access Premier subscription later this year. You get access to new PC games immediately upon launch.
