Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War pre-order is out now! If you’re planning to get yourself a copy. Here’s everything you need to know about the different editions available.

Console Editions

There are 3 editions available for consoles. All Digital editions include the Confrontation Weapons Pack.

Digital Standard – 59.99 USD

This is for current-gen consoles(PS4, Xbox One) who wants to play right away. You can later upgrade your copy to the next-gen consoles along with your profile and stats once the next-gen consoles are released. If you don’t want to upgrade, you can still play the game in PS5 or Xbox Series X via backwards compatibility. You won’t get the next-gen perks the new consoles have to offer.

Digital Cross-Gen – 69.99 USD

This is the upgraded version or dual entitlement. Play the game via current-gen or next-gen consoles without the worry of losing your profile and stats.

Digital Ultimate – 89.99 USD

For the digital ultimate, you’ll get these perks

  • Base game with dual entitlement.
  • Land, Sea and Air pack
  • Battle Pass with 20 tier skips

If you purchase the game in the Modern Warfare or Warzone store, you’ll also get 10 tier skips for their battle pass.

PC Edition

For the PC, there are only 2 editions available, standard, and ultimate. You also get the Confrontation Weapons Pack, additional rewards, and open beta access. You can pre-order through

This is for the base game.

Digital ultimate – 89.99 USD

For the PC Ultimate edition, you’ll get:

  • Base game
  • Land, Sea and Air pack
  • Battle Pass with 20 tier skips

What are these Ultimate Edition Bonuses?

You probably read the Land, Sea, and Air pack bonus a couple of times now. They are skins for COD:BOCW based on the three main fields of warfare. Let me show you what they are.

Land, Sea and Air Pack


  • Ground Infantry skin 
  • Sucker Punch” Shotgun
  • Red Bear” Tank skin


  • Sea Operator in a wetsuit
  • Black Tide” Assault Rifle
  • Leviathan” Boat skin


  • Air Operator in a flight suit
  • Wingman” Pistol
  • Death Dealer” Chopper skin

That’s nine skins in total.

Ultimate Edition Pre-Order Bonus for Modern Warfare and Warzone Players

Woods Operator Pack

For MW and Warzone players, you’ll also get the Woods Operator Pack which you can use immediately.

This includes Frank Woods as a playable operator, an assault rifle blueprint, a quip, and a finishing move.

Again, you can only get the Woods operator pack if you pre-order an Ultimate Edition.

Physical Copies

If you’re a collector or you prefer discs, you can also get COD:BOCW physical copies, but it comes with some cons.

Standard Edition for PS4 and Xbox One – 59.99 USD

PS4 copies can be upgraded and played in PS5 for $10. The Xbox One copies can’t be upgraded.

Standard Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X – 69.99 USD

Base game only.

There will be no physical copy for PC players. 

If you’re planning to get physical copies, please do note that you won’t get any skin packs, Woods Operator Bundle, and open beta access. These are digital edition bonuses only.
