In a short video you can see how almost every part of a weapon can be modified in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Assault Rifles have no fewer than nine parts that can be replaced.
A teaser has been posted on the official Twitter account of Call of Duty for assembling and adjusting weapons in Modern Warfare. The video, which takes just over half a minute and has the title “Gunsmith”, shows how almost all parts of a weapon can be replaced or improved, with for example a Muzzle Break, Balanced Suppressor, Scout Combat Optic, Lightweight Stock, CQB Grip, Corp Combat and Holo Sight.
In a blog post on the Activision website, editorial manager David Hodgson explains that it’s important to choose the right weapon attachments in the multiplayer mode of Modern Warfare. Players can adjust up to five parts of their primary and secondary weapons until there are no more available slots. The Assault Rifle is mentioned as an example, which has nine parts that can be replaced: The Muzzle, Laser, Optic, Stock, Rear Grip, Magazine, Underbarrel, Barrel and a Perk.
The first gameplay images of the multiplayer in Modern Warfare will be shown on August 1st during a live stream on Twitch. Last week a more than five-minute video was released with new gameplay from the Gunfight mode, which can be viewed in a resolution of 4K. In 2v2 mode, two teams compete against each other in multiple fast laps.
