For the first time ever, zombies are coming to Warzone. Call of Duty: Zombie Royale is a limited-time squad mode during the night. Here’s how to play the newest Halloween-themed game mode.
How to Play Zombie Royale
The game is set in a new night variant of Verdansk. It starts out as an ordinary game. But instead of dead operators being sent to Gulag, they are resurrected as zombies.
Zombies can’t use weapons. Instead, they have special abilities like increased speed, improved jumps, strong melee attacks, and thermal vision.
The Zombies can still revert back to their human form by hunting other human operators. When an operator is killed, a syringe will drop that can be seen on the map. Zombies must collect 2 syringed for them to come back to the side of the living. They can parachute back with their original loadout.
The goal is to become the last man or squad standing. A squad wins if they are the last squad with a human even if the rest turned into zombies.
Trick or Treat Supply Boxes
Marked ‘Trick or Treat’ supply boxes are also added in the game mode. They either have exclusive rewards or scare you. These marked boxes contain universal rewards including the Epic “Return to Dust” Assault Rifle blueprint, “The Cleaver” Legendary Melee blueprint, a holographic watch, charms, stickers, sprays, calling cards, and emblems. So keep a lookout for these boxes. There are 16 different rewards that can be collected. Collect all rewards and unlock the “Pumpkin Punisher” Legendary Assault Rifle blueprint.
Haunting in Verdansk Bundles
Haunting in Verdansk also introduces some of the most iconic villains in their bundles.
Two iconic villains bundles are readily available and more to follow.
Players can purchase bundles based on SAW and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
You can play Morte as Billy from SAW or Velikan as Leatherface.
Expect more Haunting in Verdansk content like the “Ghost: Grim Reaper” bundle, featuring a new Ghost skin and two soul-stealing blueprint weapons, along with “Mace: Dia de los Muertos” ahead of the Day of the Dead holiday.
Start trick-or-treating in Warzone and start collecting those goodies. Haunting in Verdansk starts October 20th and ends on November 3.
