Cybersecurity firm Kela alongside Twitter user vx-underground have both confirmed that the auction for CD Projekt Red’s source codes are now closed – because someone had already bought them. Screenshots from hacking website Exploit provided by Kela shows that the source codes cannot be bought anymore and vx-underground had confirmed it too.
The buyer still runs anonymous, but what is only known is the fact that the source codes include Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales spinoff, The Witcher 3, a ray-traced version of The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and copies of the company’s internal documents.
Would you have bought this too for $1 to $7 million? Let us know in the comments section below!
