Cyberpunk 2077 Loses Almost 80% Of Players

Are you even shocked at this point? CD Projekt Red’s supposed magnum opus has been left biting the dust, as video game statistics website GitHyp reports that there was a 225k player decline on Steam from it’s 1 million player base prior.

Even so, it has still been the top-selling Steam game since November 22, as CDPR claims that it had all in all sold 13 million copies of the game and this already negates all the refund requests that had been thrown at it since.

They say that a ~80% player drop is normal for single player games, but this open world kind of should be an exception. With more introspection into the numbers, it kind of makes sense that it be the case since the story is altogether too short and you do get tired of the game after a while since things aren’t as polished as they should be.
