Who knew that only boost CD Projekt Red needed was a little shoutout from Elon Musk AKA the richest man in the world as of writing? After tweeting news about the new Tesla Plaid Model S, Musk jokingly said that the car can play Cyberpunk 2077 and that he loved how the game looked.
Weirdly enough, that was what it all took for CD Projekt Red’s shares to surge back in the stock market. Factually speaking, the stock was up around 12.6% during afternoon trading. Even after the recent patch update backlash and the pullout from the Playstation Store, it seems to do just fine on its own. Reddit hedge fund shenanigans aside, hopefully this “short squeeze” looking phenomenon is not some bankruptcy-wielding phenomenon led to ruin the company’s sake.
