As with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077 will not grant any benefits to those who decide to pre-order. This is CD Projekt Reds policy, where it does not matter how or when you bought the game, every player gets the same starting point.
Through a message on Reddit, the user u/TLOU2_God_pls_now contacted CDPR to ask
“What would be the benefits that would be obtained by pre-ordering the game?”
to which they replied:
“Will pre-ordering on PS4 give any benefits?
Like what?
In-game bonuses. Weapons, armor or money.
No, we do not do that. All people who buy the game will receive the same content, no matter if they pre-ordered it, if they buy it on launch day or if they buy it two years later. ”
The players are obviously a high priority for CDPR, which is very welcome as nowadays some game developers seems to have forgotten about their players interests.
