Three new games en route to Google Stadia

There are three new games en route to Google Stadia. They are Borderlands 3, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Since december 18, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint can be played on Google’s game streaming service, announced in a Google blog post. This game must support the Stream Connect function of Stages, which means that players can place the screens of their teammates in their own screen. Ghost Recon Breakpoint is often played in co-op mode and Stream Connect must ensure that team tactics come out better.

Borderlands 3 is also en route to Stadia. However, the version that appears on Google Internships is not the same as the version on consoles and PC. According to Gearbox, this is a version that was last updated in October. Gearbox hopes to equate all Borderlands 3 versions at the beginning of 2020, but the developer is not there yet. To celebrate that Borderlands 3 is now playable at Internships, Pro users can temporarily purchase the game for € 38.99.

At the launch of Stadia, 12 games were available to users. Soon this number was almost doubled and 22 games were playable. Google made the promise that this year 17 games became available for Stadia users. Darksiders: Genesis was added to the platform on December 5, which means that with the addition of the above games, Google’s promise has been fulfilled.

For the time being, only four games have been confirmed for 2020; Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk 2077, Gods & Monsters and Watch Dogs: Legion. However, no release date of these games has been announced yet. Remarkably, the logo of Stadia was not shown in the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer during The Game Awards. Although this of course does not mean anything, it remains to be seen whether the game is also available for Google Stages on the launch date for other platforms.
