During PAX East, Bethesda and id Software revealed new gameplay images of the Battlemode in Doom Eternal.
Battlemode is a multiplayer mode in which a player takes on two demons as the Doomslayer. To fight in specially designed mode arenas, the Doomslayer must kill both enemies. If it takes too long for the second demon to be defeated, the first appears again.
Players can choose from five demons: the Revenant, Pain Elemental, Mancubus, Marauder and the Arch-vile. Every demon has its own plus and minus points, and according to id Software it is essential to work together. The Doomslayer is provided with all mods and must use portals and other tools.
