Battle Royale has clearly become a priority for Epic Games and it’s understandable since it is one of the most popular games in the world. Though, this does not mean that you have to completely forget about the other mode. To prove it, the developers announced that more content is being prepared for Save the World.
To begin with, Epic revealed that shortly after the debut of the 5.0 update for Fortnite, that the first act of the Canny Valley campaign will arrive. There, players can explore an arid part of the world of Fortnite. You’ll find a story that will answer several questions about the lore of the game and present more iconic enemies.
Additionally, it was announced that there are plans to increase the variety of missions and enemy types available in Fortnite: Save the World. Thanks to this the game will receive 2 new creatures in the coming months: a more powerful version of the Shielder and another being named Zapper.
For more experienced players, Epic is preparing Challenge the Horde mode. This is a mode where you spawn at a map with a base already built and you will have to fight against hordes of enemies. The interesting thing is that there will be little time to set traps, get weapons and create structures. This mode will come with features such as a shorter more intensive combat system; new types of rewards and the integration of mini-bosses.
In addition, Epic revealed that at the beginning of next week, players will be notified when Epic takes action against a player they have reported. Finally, it was pointed out that the Builder Pro control scheme will be available in this game mode.
“We have a lot of exciting things coming up for Save the World this year, including a lot of things we haven’t talked about. We’ll work on increasing the variety of missions and enemies, as well as refining the core gameplay experience. The game and the user base continues to grow, far exceeding our initial expectations and we can’t wait for the adventure ahead” – said the Save the World development team.
