Apple fans, rejoice! The recent iOS 14.5 update adds compatibility for the DualSense and Xbox Series X controllers for the iPhone. The teases from November 2020 had just become true, as Apple (kind of) started the cross-compatibility thing as Apple TV became accessible for Xbox consoles.
Moving forward, if we’re bound to check on how things are going for Apple, iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 seems to dig deeper, touching into older generations of Apple products that seem to be missing updates for quite some time now. This means stability fixes and compatibility additions, but that would only be set in stone if Apple really does decide to pursue. For now, let’s just enjoy the console controller compatibility.
