Ever got tired of playing the usual Pokemon fare? Even Mystery Dungeon and Pokemon Go starting to feel a little too repetitive for you. Well now, Nintendo is gearing up for a MOBA featuring all your favorite Pocket Monsters.
Brought to you by Tencent, the same people who made Player Unknown’s Battle Grounds (PUBG) famous, Pokemon Unite proves that Pokemon is way more than just an RPG. Breaking the wheel to reinvent it, the game offers classic MOBA elements embellished with the Nintendo branding. Much like DOTA 2 or League of Legends, the game would play on 5 v 5 team fights in a battle that proceed with having only one side as the winner.
It shall be released sometime in 2021 for Android devices and the Nintendo Switch, allowing cross play for easier queuing.
Further details are yet to come out, along with a very hyped up Alpha test that’s sure to come out late 2020 or early 2021.
