In the statement, Rockstar explained that Red Dead Online will use Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay as its foundation. In addition, it mentions that it will take the world of the base game to transform it into “a new and living online world ready to be shared by multiple players. In addition, it will have character customization, and up to 32 players can join a lobby, and up to 7 players can group up and go rampage in the cities or hunt in the wilds. The developers have explained Red Dead Online as a game that will get updates and grow over time, similar to the open world you can see in GTA.
