Game will be released on consoles and PC in early April.
The recently revealed remake of Resident Evil 3 gets a greater focus on action than Resident Evil 2.
You can read that in the new issue of the Japanese magazine Famitsu. On Twitter, someone who had already received the magazine shared various details of an interview with producers Peter Fabiano and Masachika Kawata.
On Twitter it is reported that the game “contains much more action” than Resident Evil 2. The game basically maintains the original version of Resident Evil 3, but modifies sections “so that people who know the original can also enjoy it” . The game would already be largely finished. Also – just like in the remake of Resident Evil 2 – the camera is placed behind the shoulder of the main character.
Resident Evil 3 will be released on April 3 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game also includes Project Resistance, an asymmetrical multiplayer game where four players take on the role of different characters and have to survive against the Mastermind. This fifth player places various traps. The Mastermind can also control zombies and even a Tyrant.
part 2
The games's codename during development was "escape."
The link between re:3 and Resistance is the theme escaping, but there is no relation between the two other than that.
Re:3 was developed due to high demand, much like re:2. The latter's reception also added to it.— Nóra, the somniloquist (@misssnugglebutt) December 18, 2019
part4
The scene from the trailer with Jill frantically running in the apartment building will be in the game, but the FPS view was just a stylistic choice for the trailer.
The game will be TPS ("behind view") just like re:2.— Nóra, the somniloquist (@misssnugglebutt) December 18, 2019
part6
It's not just Carlos' look that was changed, also his demeanor; although he appears a lot more mature, his character wasn't altered considerably.
There is a lot that can't be revealed about Brad yet, but compared to Carlos, he and his role was changed a lot more.— Nóra, the somniloquist (@misssnugglebutt) December 18, 2019
part7
"Brad turned out quite neatly." Kawata added.
Resitance stuff:
Annette will have different cards than Daniel, like one that spawns 3 cerberi. There will also be a good few maps.
Collector's edition:
The notes on the map can be thought of as actual "hints" for the game.— Nóra, the somniloquist (@misssnugglebutt) December 18, 2019
