There has been a lot of confusion and dissonance that came towards the release of the next-gen Xbox and Playstation, and we couldn’t help but wonder why.

From price releases, pre-order details, to information dissemination towards outlets, both Microsoft and Sony couldn’t seem to get a grip. We’re not particularly sure if the limitations and restrictions of COVID are all giving them a hard time, but we’d definitely take that into consideration.

With links scrambling and stocks going haywire, fans couldn’t seem to find themselves a place to properly grab them a unit of their preference. It’s harsh how Sony and Microsoft seem more focused with fighting against each other rather than delivering what is actually promised. It’s actually cool to see how Sony owned up to their fuck ups, as seen in this tweet below:
Lining up seemed to be a better way to get these consoles for yourself, but social distancing isn’t actually letting anyone do that anytime soon. There is a sure lack of transparency that comes with stores holding stocks of these consoles, and we couldn’t be more bothered and worries with whatever is actually going on. Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Gamestop is pretty much neck deep in confusion to this point, so we’re just all hoping this gets better sooner than we all think.
Godspeed, Sony and Microsoft. We are with you in this trying time.
