The Series X has been the talk of the town in recent weeks. Rumors are interspersed with facts and vice versa. The current owners of an Xbox One were reassured last week. Your investment in that expensive One X has not been a waste of money. Games continue to be available for both Series X and One (X) for at least another year.
A new rumor appeared yesterday. Apparently this comes from some insiders in the Xbox community. They claim that the Xbox Series X will have a “Windows Mode” that gives players the option to work in a Windows 10 environment. This should make it possible to support Steam and the Epic Game Store.
And that means that you could soon also play PC games on your Series X. Sounds good? Or not? It remains a very far-fetched rumor and even if that Windows Mode were in the console, it is still a question of whether the system will allow playing PC games. And should we want that? PC gamers and console gamers are now clearly separated. One of them think their the master race (and history shows that that usually does not end well), the other doesn’t really care about that.
On the other hand, looking at the Xbox Game Pass that we already have for the PC, the switch between the two worlds is also not unthinkable. But then again, we will just have to wait and see what the future holds for us.
